The elderly and the physically challenged have a lot of problems while driving or riding. Most vehicles are not designed to suit their needs. However, Ji-Hoon Hong has designed the Universal Electric Scooter that is primarily meant for the elderly and the physically challenged. These scooters come with adjustable seats and and allows easy accessibility, seat positioning, and of course better comfort. The front and the rear lamps indicate if the person is turning and thus also has universal safety. A really great design for the target group, but it must reach the stores.

This is an interesting concept and certainly should make its way from the drawing board to the production line. My mother in law was an avid driver but arthritis has left her with restricted mobility, something like this would help her find feet again!
It really is sad to see someone so active and energetic giving up their favorite hobbies because they get old or disabled. In such cases, technology and creativity certainly help don’t they? I mean if these vehicles were mass manufactured, old people would never have to be immobile. It is rare to see such cool designs
Jaiyant, this is a brilliant design for the targeted users... so simple.
I know Manish, it really is a brilliant idea. We really must encourage such innovative designers and must avoid buying cars that are manufactured by the big corporations. They only seek money but are not ethical. They also add a hell lot of emissions to our atmosphere. What we need are designs that are sustainable, green and environmental friendly. And if they also help the unlucky ones, then it is just great
I never see one like that in real life.
This is so cool,,i guess ill be having one of this to be used daily while going to office and back home..ill take care of it for sure,,put some floor mats in it to maintain cleanliness..
