Technology and functionality can go together, but some designers can even mix technology, art, architecture and form. Björn Schulke is one such designer and will be exhibiting his pieces at the Bitforms Gallery in New York from January 18th to February 23rd. The exhibition will also include his latest five sculptures that are inspired from musical instruments. His previous collections have made a mark on the field for their white color and visually striking designs.

In Boingboing, the sculptures have been rightly introduced, which says,

Supersonic emits soft, low frequency sounds from a contoured and zeppelin-shaped fiberglass shell that is mounted to the gallery wall. Its clinically white, streamline form houses a theremin which detects and responds to the proximity of a viewer, emitting a range of bass frequency notes. Appearing to hold sophisticated powers of celestial communication or locomotion, the sculpture simply rests in a static observant position.

That’s quite intriguing! Here are some of his earlier visually striking creations.
