Blu Dot furniture was founded in 1996, by three college friends trained in architecture and art. They were John Christakos, Charles Lazor, and Maurice Blanks. The partners chose furniture as their area of work and opened a studio in Minneapolis. The main idea of the firm was to design furniture that may be stylish yet affordable.
