If absence truly makes the heart grow fonder then it cannot be more apparent than this. These light-weight gazebos for parks and gardens are inspired by the movement of trees and their response to the environment. Spring 2008 saw the debut of these woven light-weight pavilions at Kew, The Royal Botanical Gardens, London. A hyperbolic geometry is used to create a continuous featherweight fabric of base, columns and canopy. With astounding dimensions of 50 square meters width, 3.5 meters high this one surprisingly weighs all of 20 kilograms! We hope that this delicate-looking tree look-alikes will soon replicate themselves for the benefit of our gardens and home-décor.
