I don’t have the heart to call it just another piece of furniture. Designer Eric Berthes’ armchair, Doonut, is a work of art. It’s hardly like any other armchair you have come across. The elegantly curved proportioned lines come together into a technically perfect manner, making this piece of furniture a visual treat. Its fiberglass body shimmers and glazes to brighten up your room. It is available in black and white. Getting one of these to brighten up your living room would set you back by € 3000.
All having said and done, I am not sure about the comfort factor of the Doonut, specially without cushions. Armchairs are meant for lounging in and relaxing on a lazy afternoon or after a long day. However, I believe this L 910 x H 820 (mm) wonder is supposed to beautify your room rather than serve the practical purpose of comfort.

I think its just beautiful for if someone would try to get more comfortable on this one just the opposite would happen. It is a work of art I agree but would make for a conversation piece than a relaxing one.

I first took it to be some weird kind of tyre or something. It can atleast for me, never serve as a furniture piece, for it looks to uncomfortable. I just see the aesthetics and no utility in this design. Doesn’t work for me much!
I LOVE IT!! Design above all!!
love the design, are you sure about the price!! One could furnish the whole house in 2500 euro. May be I am out of sync with times. Care to exchange blog links. Let me know, it is beneficial for both of us.
