Wonder where this whole trend to design futuristic vehicles will lead us to? The trend seems to be hinting at vehicles that are diminutive and ergonomic, apart from being eco friendly. But all of them for some weird reason seem to pay scant attention to the driver’s/rider’s well-being. Take a look at NOAH and you’ll see the reason why I say so. True, the concept for a bike that unites rider with his ride seems pretty darn amazing, but equally amazing is the fact that for a curious reason, any semblance of safety features seems to be missing. Anyhow, the electric bike proposes some very unique features. Andrei, the designer, proposes the extension of human psychomotor system to control vehicle’s functionality. This means no buttons, no pads, no nothing – movement of the driver will be enough to control speed, direction and like in Noah.

The bike looks like a unicycle and every feature is incorporated around the twin tires that it rides on. The electric engine, the battery, charger and similar paraphernalia are all located in a minimalist design with the biker at its center. No doubt riding this baby would be just wonderful, but till humans add a bit of steel to their bones, this one should be safely stacked away in the folders. Or maybe not since this one was a finalist in IDSA/IDEA Brasil 2007/08.
