Started out somewhere in the late 1960s, the Rolling Stone Magazine recently brought out it’s 1000th issue that was marked by a happening party. However, perfectly harmonizing with feel of the historic moment of reaching the 1000th issue in a span of 39 long years was the cover of Rolling Stone magazine’s 1000th issue, which was designed by Amid Capeci.
The 3 Dimensional cover featuring The Strokes playing at Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, captured the theme of enthusiasm, excitement, and curiosity, that has been the essence of the magazine over the years.
The cover was an ultimate collage that brought to life the first 39 years of it’s existence by featuring its intelligently planned A-list including the best of musicians, politicians, athletes, and culture heroes that represented the occasion.
The idea of coming up with a 3-D or lenticular cover came up from the editor Jann Wenner in collaboration with art director Amid Capeci.
