I like it how the mere word ‘car’ evokes a feeling of grandeur and comfort in one’s mind. Which is why this ‘Slide city car’ comes as a bit of a disappointment. I mean sure the thing is pretty slick for a person to travel in the chaotic urban environment, but when you consider the fact that the thing is actually much bulkier albeit slightly safer-looking than the Segway, it doesn’t make much sense for you to trade in your real car for this. Compared to a non-motorized bike or again the Segway itself, the Slide has no clear advantage and will still require you to find and pay for a parking spot. That coupled with the fact that it can only carry one person at a time, really a bit of a bummer. Nice try Mr. Pinkert, but if we still have to stand on our feet all the way to and back from work everyday, we’d rather stick to the good old bus and the subway!

This one concept is a must for all the overly congested cities of the world. Not a family vehicle at all, individuals would love to swap it for their ordinary two-wheelers. Though the designers can work on making that butt rester more comfy and spacious.
they should include a secure fastening device, like a torso harness.
