In the age of the information revolution our appetite for the latest in everything seems to be incapable of satiation. Urgently! is a sculpture by Alexei Shulgin & Aristarkh Chernyshev and depicts the information overload that is a commonplace occurrence. Urgently! shows endless feeds of news going into a dustbin as representation on led light boards. The info sculpture depicts writhing strands of led displays around a trash can and finally ending inside it. The real time feeds are picked off from the internet (for which the arrangement is connected to a computer) and after moving on the outside, these wind up straight into the trash can. A great comment on our penchant for media-diet, the sculpture truly depicts the endless flow of information that is becomes obsolete on a regular basis and is trashed immediately. Watch out for the video below to see the working of this very apt sculpture.

my interpretation of this work is that the artist is wasting his time with whatever sort of nonsensicl activities he or she is participating in and does not understand the magnitude in potential of the internet as well as the genius or intellectual superiority of the person or peoples that assemble this LED unit for him or her.
